Let your managers create their own users for greater impact

Now Teamleader can create users. This allows you to involve more people in your work for even greater impact.

The Teamleader role has been around for a while now in Evercate, and we've both seen and heard from our customers that it's a popular feature.

It's a win-win situation when you can engage more people in learning. The impact is so much greater when you can involve the store manager directly in the monitoring of his store and the regional manager in the monitoring of the stores in the region.

As an Evercate administrator, you will have noticed that it means less work for you, while the Team Leader gets the added value of being able to monitor the progress of their users in real time with greater precision.

The missing piece of the puzzle

We have run into several cases where they wanted to allow someone else to create users, but without making them full administrators. There have of course been ways to do this using our API, but at the same time it has seemed more natural that this should be something that is in Evercate itself.

Particularly for industries that are geographically dispersed, where staff do not work in front of a computer and many times do not even have a company email address, there has always been a challenge in quickly capturing all new starters. After all, the store manager is in charge of hiring, so why shouldn't he or she be able to easily add the person to Evercate right away?

This has previously required some form of hand laying. But not anymore!

Let's introduce Teamleaders who can create users

We have now expanded the Teamleader role to include user creation.

You define teams based on all the tags that apply to the whole team, such as country, region, store and whether it is a franchise unit or not, etc. You can then add additional optional tags, which the team leader can assign to their users. This allows you to control in more detail, for example, the role of the new person in the shop.

Users created by a Teamleader automatically receive all the tags that define the team itself plus any additional tags the Teamleader assigns them. That way you can set up flows there:

  1. A Teamleader creates a user, without having to consider or understand your overall organisational structure and how you want to manage and monitor the content.
  2. The user automatically receives the right tags that fully describe the person.
  3. The tags in turn give the user access to the right courses and course programmes and allow the user to be included in all relevant follow-up.
  4. All without you, the administrator, having to lift a finger.

The more people who are involved, the greater the impact of your digital education initiative will be.
