Let your managers create their own users for greater impact

The Teamleader role has been around in Evercate for a while now, and we have both seen and heard from our customers that it is a popular feature.
A win-win situation arises when you can engage more people in the learning process. The impact becomes so much greater when you can involve the store manager directly in monitoring their store, and the regional manager in monitoring the stores in their region.
As an Evercate administrator, you have probably noticed that it means less work for you, while the Teamleader gains added value by being able to follow up on how their users are doing in real time with greater precision.
The missing puzzle piece
We have repeatedly come across cases where someone wanted to let another person create users, but without making them a full administrator. There have of course been ways to do this using our API, but it has felt more natural for this to be something built into Evercate itself.
Especially for industries that are geographically spread out, where staff do not work in front of a computer and often do not even have a company email address, there has always been a challenge in quickly onboarding all new starters. After all, it is the store manager who handles the hiring, so why should they not be able to easily add the person to Evercate right away?
This has previously required some form of manual intervention. But not anymore!
Introducing Teamleaders who can create users
We have now expanded the Teamleader role to also be able to create users.
You define teams based on all the tags that apply to the entire team, such as country, region, store, and whether it is a franchise unit or not, and so on. You can then also add additional optional tags that the Teamleader can assign to their users. This allows for more granular control, for example over the role the new person has in the store.
Users created by a Teamleader automatically receive all the tags that define the team, plus any additional tags the Teamleader assigns to them. This way, you can set up flows where:
- A Teamleader creates a user without needing to understand your overall organisational structure or how you want to control and follow up on content.
- The user automatically gets the right tags that fully describe the person.
- The tags in turn give the user access to the right courses and course programs and ensure the user is included in all relevant follow-ups.
- All without you as an administrator having to lift a finger.
The more people who are engaged, the greater the impact your digital training initiative will have.
