Take Evercate offline with external lessons

It would be naive to think that digital is the solution for everything. That applies to training and information as well.
Tracking your users' status in Evercate has never been a problem, but what happens when you want to document that they attended an event, or completed a course purchased from a provider outside Evercate? This could be a hands-on walkthrough in the store, or an externally purchased course that all managers must complete.
With external lessons, you can now easily create a "lesson" that takes place outside Evercate. You can create events, register users for them, and then track their status. Or if you prefer to avoid doing all of that yourself, you can let users register themselves for upcoming events and then let them, someone responsible for the event, or a Teamleader mark them as complete afterward.
All you need to do is create a new lesson and check the box "This is an external lesson". Then you can manage your events for that lesson, give them a time and a location (with or without a map), set up registration confirmations for participants that are sent with a calendar invitation, and configure automatic reminders before upcoming events. And in true Evercate fashion, the whole thing is quite straightforward.
Are external lessons for you?
If you have activities that take place offline and want to track your users in Evercate, then it is for you.
If you want to create blended learning with simple and seamless user management, then it is for you.
If you have purchased a course from an external provider and want statistics on which employees have completed it, then it is for you.
